I often get the question "Can I get this quilt, but I would like to change out a few of the colors/fabrics? How will I know if I like it?"
The answer is simple, I always email a picture of a custom quilt, blanket, crib set, or rail cover before I sew it up.
Over the years, I have custom-made many crib bedding sets, quilts, blankets & many other items. Through that experience, I have found a system that works great for the customer, and myself. This little handmade business machine has become well-oiled with a simple process.
So, if you are wondering what happens after you've clicked "order" Here it is!
Your order has been added to a queue of orders. At any given time, I have between 10-50 open orders. The current processing times will vary depending on how many open orders I have and what they are. I will keep the processing times page updated with the current turnaround times.
I work on multiple orders at once and batch cutout bedding pieces and other items a couple of times a week. The waiting time.... this is most of the time the longest time of the process. Once you receive your email you will be able to make any changes that you would like to the item piece(s). If there is a fabric you don't love, let me know. If there are too many patterns in one area, let me know. I will make the appropriate changes and email you a new updated picture or mockup. On rail covers you can change the color of the ties, so be sure to let me know of any changes.
Once the items have been approved, they will be sewn up. Your bedding pieces will now be shipped to you via USPS. Most items are shipped via priority mail, and your tracking number will be emailed to the email that you associated with your purchase. I do my best to keep you informed along every step of the way.
If you have any questions along the way, feel free to email me at hello@thecreativeraccoon.com and I will get back to you in 24-48 hours. I try to be quick in my responses but keep in mind that for me to work on orders in the queue, I may be slow to respond.
