Returns & Exchanges

At The Creative Raccoon, every item is handmade by me, Hillary, once the order is placed. These orders can take anywhere from 3-6 business days to up to 6 weeks depending on what you ordered. Once payment is received or for memory items, once the items are received the processing times will start. Make sure to check out the current processing times to make sure the item you ordered will arrive to you in time.

FABRIC SWATCHES

Fabric Swatches are available for most items and are usually free. Some may require a purchase of the swatch. Usually for the fabrics we special order. 

CANCELLATIONS

I accept cancellations on a case-by-case basis. Request a cancellation within 3 hours of purchasing. If the order has already been started or fabric has already been purchased for your order, then cancellations may not be approved. 

RETURNS, EXCHANGES & REFUNDS

At this time, I cannot accept returns on any made-to-order items including crib bedding, car seat canopies, blankets, quilts, custom items, personalized items, and mini crib bedding.

QUESTIONS ABOUT PURCHASING OPTIONS
If you are unsure about what you are purchasing, please message me first. The Creative Raccoon will not be processing returns for people who picked the cheaper option and thought they were receiving a FULL set. Check the pictures, the option you picked, and the descriptions for information. If you are still unsure, please message me. 

CONTACT WITHIN 2 DAYS
On all other items please contact me within 2 days of receiving your items if you would like to make a return. Items to be returned must still be in new condition with original packaging. The buyer is responsible for return shipping. Once the item has been received and verified it is in original condition, we will refund the full purchase price excluding shipping charges and any coupon discounts if applicable.

CASE BY CASE - RETURNS
Returns are on a case-by-case basis. Please email me before returning your item(s). Most item returns are only accepted if a defect in materials used in construction has been found or an obvious problem in workmanship, such as an unfinished seam, etc., has been discovered. Merchandise is quality inspected before shipment. If I have overlooked a problem with an item, please contact me about the issue and follow the shop policy for returning the item.
CRIB SKIRTS - The 3-sided crib skirts will have the white deck fabric's salvage edge on the back side of the crib skirt. This edge is a finished edge and will not fray unless it is cut. I zig-zag stitch over this side for added protection. I have made thousands of crib skirts this way and none of them have frayed from washing. Please do not cut this edge off. 
BUYER'S REMORSE
The Creative Raccoon does not process refunds for those of you who may suffer from "buyer's remorse" so please consider your purchases seriously before making a transaction. In other words, "all sales are final" and merchandise can only be returned when there may be a problem found in workmanship or a failure in hardware. Or on a case-by-case basis. 

ITEMS NOT IN ORIGINAL CONDITION

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
Any item not in its original condition is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. Any item that is returned more than 5 days after delivery. 

REFUNDS
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact hello@thecreativeraccoon.com

SALE ITEMS
Only regular-priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded. ALL SALES FINAL - on-SALE ITEMS

EXCHANGES
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at thecreativeraccoon.com@gmail.com
